This fun four-week course is for parents and caregivers who want to enhance communication with their baby or toddler, young deaf child, or child with special needs. Research in communication shows that there are great benefits in communication and related communications skills for both hearing babies and toddlers, as well as young children who are deaf or who have other special needs.
We learn 25-40 signs each session so that parents and caregivers will have lots of choices, and talk about ways to teach and use them.

ODC has been offering ASL classes for years. This is a course in American Sign Language (ASL) using a conversational method following the Signing Naturally Curriculum. Students learn to ask and answer questions, and use spatial referencing in exchanging personal information, talking about surroundings, telling where you live, talking about your family/friends and telling about activities.
We offer basic ASL training to employers where have deaf employees working.
