Silent Walk

The Ottawa Deaf Centre (ODC) would like to extend a sincere thank you for your interest in helping our cause. It is only through the aid of our hard working staff, volunteers and participants that we are able to make a difference in the lives of so many individuals. We are excited that you are going to be a part of our team this year and we are looking forward to meeting you!

The admission price is $15 for each participant. Those who raise more than $15 in pledges will gain free admission. Note that all individuals who donate more than $10 will be issued a tax receipt. Therefore, please make sure donors give you their full mailing address.

Every year we do the best we can to motivate our participants to raise as much as possible for our community event. This year we will be rewarding the top participants who collect the most funds with exciting prizes! Stay tuned to our website for updates on what you can win.

Our 5km Silent Walk will be held on Sunday, June 1st at Vincent Massey Park. Please see the attached map for directions to the location. We will start to welcome our participants at 10:00am and the Silent Walk will commence at 11:00am. Following the walk, prizes will be awarded to the top participants who have successfully collected the most funds! Next, a BBQ lunch will be provided for a small donation. The festivities will conclude around 3:00pm.

The ODC would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your participation in this fundraising event. Your time and efforts are truly appreciated and we hope that you will enjoy our celebration of your hard work on June 1st. We are doing our best to make the Silent Walk of 2008 a fun and exciting event. We can’t wait to spend a relaxing day with you in our beautiful community.
